The institute of optics and optoelectronics mainly undertakes academic research on optical and optoelectronic materials and devices. Characteristic research topics include Optical waveguides, LiNbO3 monocrystalline film, Organic optoelectronic materials and Optical physics. The institute members have undertaken more than 30 National and Provincial scientific research projects, including “National outstanding youth fund project”, “National natural science fund key project”, as well as “Shandong province's major and key projects”. Representative papers have been published in journals such as Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Nano Energy, Applied Physics Reviews, Optics Letters, Optics Express and Organic Electronics. The graduate students cultivated by this institute have rich academic achievements. Two PhD thesis were awarded “National excellent nomination thesis” for doctoral degree in optics. Five dissertations have been awarded “Excellent doctoral degree thesis in Shandong province”, and one thesis has been awarded “Excellent master's degree thesis in Shandong province”.
